Used Caterpillar Pneumatic Tire Forklifts Santa Clarita

Used Caterpillar Pneumatic Tire Forklifts Santa Clarita

Use a Pneumatic Forklift
Pneumatic forklifts are common in warehouse and shipping operations. Also called pallet trucks or pump trucks, they are used in order to move supplies and things around on wooden pallets using metal forks mounted on a wheeled counterweight. The counterweight has a pump that could raise the forks off the ground. A pallet truck is intended to be operated by one person.

Pallet trucks must be operated with care to prevent loss of control while lifting heavy loads. Machine should be inspected prior to operating. Clear the wheels area of any obstructions. Check that the handle smoothly turns. The pallet should be carefully stacked in order to ensure that nothing will fall off during transportation.

In order to lower the forks and release air in the pump, squeeze the lever found on the inside of the metal loop on the end of the pallet truck's handle. The forks can then be pushed into the slots of the pallet. The forks must be at the center to ensure even distribution of the pallet's weight across them. Lift the forks from the ground by pumping the pneumatic lift's handle until the pallet has completely cleared the ground. Do not raise the pallet too high or the forklift can unbalance.

Pull on the handle and then drag it behind you if you want to move the pallet. It is truly not safe to push the pallet ahead of you because the thrust could cause it to lose control. Take turns slowly and don't try to stop abruptly. Stop slowly, squeeze the lever, and the forks would lower to the ground. Finally, remove the forks from the pallet by pulling them out. Return the pallet truck to its permanent place.
