Operator Environment
The Spirit Delta cab gives the operator a safe and efficient place to work from. The cab design is the end result of a major study of operators' working conditions. The most important objective is to provide optimum visibility with no forward corner posts and huge glass areas unobstructed so as to keep the field of vision clear. The ergonomically designed instrument panel is really comfortable and gently rounded. This specific area has also been designed with an unobstructed clear view of all essential information, so as to keep the operator functioning as effectively as she or he could.
Due to the insulated mounting to the chassis, vibration levels and overall noise levels are kept low. The controller's seat and the hydraulic controls are all individually adjustable that allows you to maintain an optimum working position. Moreover, the steering wheel and related panel is adjustable for utmost comfort. There are 2 easy to operate, ergonomically positioned multi-functioned levers which are offered for the horn, window washers, windscreen wipers and gear changing.
To guarantee a comfortable cab temperature for the operator, a ventilation/heating unit provides incoming air which is replaced by an air filter. This is easily replaceable and the unit slides out afterwards to make serviceability an easy option. The machine has a robust 3-speed fan for recirculation, defrosting, cooling and heating. As an extra option, air conditioning could be fitted.
Instrumentation
The instrument panel in the spirit delta cab has been logically grouped and are all accessible. The basic instruments that comprise: low brake pressure, high coolant temperature, low engine and gearbox lubrication oil pressure, warning lamps, applied parking brake and high gearbox oil temperature. Furthermore, gauges display values for operating time, fuel quantity, gearbox oil pressure and engine coolant.
The ECS or Electronic Control System monitoring is among the key options on the 8 to 10 tonne trucks. These units make it easier to supervise the machine. All of the monitoring functions are handled by the ECS or Electronic Control System and incorporated by this system. The single warning lamp and the full text display show any faults which happen and their current values.
