Used Daewoo Dual Fuel Forklifts Santa Clarita

Basic Fuel Types of Forklifts
Forklifts are powered lift trucks which are utilized in a wide variety of industries to move heavy materials and products. Forklifts are tough and dependable equipment which are essential tools in warehouse and construction environments. Lift truck units differ depending on the type of fuel that is utilized to power the lift truck and the type of work environment.

Electricity
Electric forklifts are recommended for work sites which have limited ventilation because they produce no exhaust fumes and are fairly quiet. They are designed to be powered by large, industrial-strength batteries. As the electric lift truck batteries should be charging, the worksite will require a charging station. The batteries are tough and can be re-charged up to 1,500 times before they need to be replaced. The charging station must be located in a ventilated area and include an acid spill kit and an emergency eyewash station.

Propane
Liquid propane powered forklifts are frequently used in modern industrial operations because propane has some benefits over diesel and electric. Propane models are cleaner to use compared to diesel-powered units. There is no down time required to recharge an industrial battery, and the cost of electricity is more than the cost of propane. A forklift propane tank could be refueled easily and quickly by changing out the empty tank with a full tank. Normally an off-site supplier refills the empty tank, making refueling really safe and efficient.

Diesel and Gasoline
For rough terrain and outdoor applications, the diesel and gas forklifts are the equipment of choice. These machines are quite common in lumber yards and on construction sites. Their disadvantages include fairly high fuel costs, relatively high maintenance needs and odorous exhaust. Their benefits include a longer lifespan compared to other units and dependability in tough conditions. Diesel and gasoline units would have to be refueled at a supply station on site that meets safety and health regulations.
