In order to be a successful unit, a lift truck needs to be strong enough to last in all working conditions for numerous hours of use. It needs to be able to transport loads efficiently and quickly too. The machinery should also be both ergonomically correct and comfortable for the operator.
The Yale powertrain is rugged and reliable. It needs to be powerful enough to continually deliver amazing durability through its computer-managed engine and transmission. It offers state-of-the-art clutch packs combined with strong gears and extremely tough shafts. The steer axle, drive, transmission and engine are all isolated in order to reduce noise and vibration inside the compartment of the operator.
GM & Mazda Gas & LP Engines:
The GM Gas and Mazda LP Engines are made from cast-iron blocks for long life. These kinds of machinery provide an electronically-controlled closed loop fuel system which needs minimal adjustment or repair. These types of engines also have hardened exhaust valve seats that minimize wear.
Cummins and Yanmar Diesel Engines:
Within the Cummins and Yanmar diesel engines, a high compression ratio provides exceptional torque. Amazing fuel consumption is offered by effective fuel systems.
Standard Electronic Powershift Transmission:
The electronic powershift transmission is standard on most equipment. It features gears that are 15 percent stronger and shafts which give resistance when driving on rough terrain. The strong clutch packs provide 3 times the life of preceding packs. Last of all, there is electronic inching available that adjusts automatically in order to decrease maintenance needs by compensating for brake wear.
Techtronix Transmission:
This transmission system uses a computer-controlled power reversal which minimizes shock loading, increases durability and extends tire life. Furthermore, the auto deceleration feature lessens break pedal usage and break wear.
Drive Axle:
Designed for added durability, the drive axle features its brake drum mounting, full floating axle shaft and the strong ring and pinion gears. This component also has optional oil cooled wet disc brakes which are practically maintenance free and completely sealed against contamination.
Steer Axle:
The Steer Axle features a "sandwich" design to be able to protect the steer cylinder from damage and debris. It has fixed-length tie rods to add extra stability and durability. The tapered roller bearings help to resist side-to-side and front to back forces. In addition, cast ductile iron axle reduces wear and increases toughness.
As part of Yale's regular packages, they have included numerous safety features and ergonomic features. These kinds of equipment would handle tough environments, while keeping the operator both safe and comfortable for the duration of their shift.
